About

Xywrite Corporation was founded in 1978 by two computer scientists, Dr. David Bunnell and Dr. Timothy C. Luoma, who met while working at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). They were driven to create a new word processing system that would be more intuitive and efficient than anything on the market at the time. Drawing on their backgrounds in computer science and linguistics, they succeeded in developing xyWrite, which quickly became known for its speed, flexibility, and ease of use.

The company is still run by the original founders and is now headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Xywrite Corporation has always been a leader in innovative word processing technology; with products like xyWrite III Plus, xyWrite 4 DOS, and Notebene for Windows 8/10 tablet users.
